Warkworth
Dominated by it’s castle Warkworth is just a short distance upstream from Amble along the river Coquet.
This picture from Glen Bowman shows the classic view of the castle across the river
This photo from Gail Johnson shows the castle along with some of the pretty houses
Also of note is the Norman bridge, a hermitage and it’s church. Warkworth is a pretty village and frequently used to advertise the area for tourism.
This is a quality place to take your holiday.
